Postby Forever-mango » Fri Jan 22, 2010 12:43 pm

I recently recieved my package of tools from an Australian supplier, some from ADA but most are from the local guys. Well worth it and cheap too!

Here is my collection so far...waiting for more on back order...

The ADA sand plattener, is that worth it? I see alot of people using it and thinking of getting it myself.

Also these guys (http://www.entosupplies.com.au/) have some nice tools you might want to use for your aquarium, cheap and nice people.

What I like about RO is its pure water non of the nasties you get in tap water .I find if I mix it with tap water 1/2 and 1/2 I have better control of my water paramitors .The only disavantage is My KH was getting to low so I countered that by putting a small amount of coral sand in a bag in the canister this gives me a KH of around 70 to 80 ppm which stops my ph from doing stupid things and keeps it at 6.8ph daytime readings and 7ph at night. I fert useing the EI method ie; fert heavy during the week and 50% water change to reset paramitors one a week .I find I dont have to many algae problems apart from when I set the tank up initially (to few plants to much ferts 0

I only have a few tools: algae scraper and some long tongs to plant in the bottom of the 150 gallon which is deeper than my arms. For the rest I use my hands.
